Bees and Flowers Initial Sound Sorting
This initial sound sorting activity is a simple and engaging way to promote early literacy development and phonological awareness.
Students sort the pictures according to their initial sound by matching the flower petals to the correct bees. The visuals help make the activity more accessible and motivating, especially for younger children or those who may need additional support.
This resource includes 24 flower petals with high-frequency picture cards, 5 bee sorting mats for sound sorting, and a word list to facilitate preparation of the activity.
Simply print and cut! Ideal for small group work, individual sessions, or additional practice.
A Maltese version of this activity is also available, and both versions will later be included together in one bundle.
