Rhyming Words Puzzle Match

This rhyming puzzle match activity is a simple and engaging way to support early literacy and phonological awareness skills.

Students match pairs of rhyming words by connecting the puzzle pieces, helping them recognice and practice rhyming in a hands-on way. The visuals make it accessible and motivating, especially for younger learners or those who benefit from extra support.

This resource includes 24 rhyming pairs (48 picture pieces in total), along with a word list of all matches to make preparation and checking easier.

Just print, cut, and you’re ready to go. It works well for literacy centres, small group work, one-to-one sessions, or extra practice.

A Maltese version of this activity is also available, and both versions will later be included in a bundle option.
